Admission to the British School of Guangzhou is selective. We are committed to ensuring that our pupils have access to the highest standards in eduaction, and that also implies learning from other pupils as well as the classroom teacher. Skills in English and maths are evaluated for all applicants from Year 1 (age 6) upwards and we interview all students to get a holistic picture beyond just their academic level. We expect all students to contribute to school life outside of the classroom: sports, drama and music being areas at which BSG excels. 

English language support is available for some pupils but these places are limited. Also, in keeping with the school’s policy of diversity, a limit may be placed per year group on the number of pupils of the same nationality.
