International Examination Centre Accreditation

The British School of Guangzhou has been awarded International Centre status by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

CIE is the world's largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year olds. Qualifications include Cambridge IGCSE and International A/AS Level. CIE qualifications are taken in 150 countries and recognised by universities, educational providers and employers across the world.

Ann Puntis, Chief Executive of Cambridge University International Examinations, commented: 'We are delighted to announce that The British School of Guangzhou has become a registered Centre and look forward to a long a productive relationship which will be of great benefit to students throughout the region.'

EdExcel

BSG is pleased to announce it has recently received full accreditation from the UK's EdExcel Examination Board. This additional examination board accreditation will allow us to offer a wider range of subjects at IGCSE and A-Level in our secondary school.

FOBISSEA

BSG is a member of FOBISSEA (Federation of British International Schools in South East Asia). This distinguished group of almost 40 British International Schools aims to provide educational opportunities for over 19,000 expatriate students. It also provides excellent opportunities for professional development for our teachers and requires all its member schools to have regular external inspections to ensure they meet UK expectations.

FOBISSEA Invitational Games

BSG is delighted to be entering into this year's FOBISSEA Invitational Games. Joining up with many other British international schools, our children will have the opportunity to join in and compete with a host of other schools in many sports including football, basketball and swimming.

Fundraising Initiatives

Support for charities and other community organisations has been sensational so far within the school. Alongside our numerous one off events and dedicated charity drives held annually, children, teachers and parents hold bake sales every Friday with proceeds going to support school activities and the charity, Coleurs De Chine.
