Due to the weather, today's sporting events have been postponed to the 16th of March. Thursday's events are still set to proceed and we will continue to keep you informed.

Communications to Parents

In an effort to reduce our environmental impact we intend to send as many letters as possible and all newsletters out via e-mail rather than by hard copy. You are encouraged to check your e-mails regularly to ensure that you remain fully informed of events at the British School and to contact admissions if your e-mail address is incorrect or if it changes.

Free Assessments - Extended Assessment Period
|
|
To support two form entry in all Secondary classes for 09/10, BSG has extended the free assessment period until the end of the year. Students qualifying for Year 8 upwards in September 2009 are invited to apply and undergo the assessment free of charge.

BSG Clothing Drive Completed
|
|
About one month ago our Events and Fundraising Committee launched a clothing drive in aid of charity. They challenged the children and parents to send in as many old clothes as possible that would then be sent to an orphanage in Yunnan.

Opening of a New Pre-Nursery Class

Due to increasing demand the British School is now accepting applications for an afternoon Pre-Nursery class starting January 2010. Class will start from 12:30 and will mirror the popular morning programme. Places are limited so please arrange an appointment with admissions to avoid disappointment.

To support their recent topic work Year 3 held a tea party in the gymnasium recently. After visiting a local hotel the children then took a turn at hosting their own event. Using skills acquired in numeracy and literacy the children planned and compiled a menu taking into account the amount of food and drink required for all the guests.

Official Opening & IGCSE Launch Ceremony

At 7.00pm on the 13th November BSG held its Official Opening & IGCSE Launch Ceremony. The guangzhou community was invited to join us for this special event where there was a presentation on future plans for the school.
